Monica Hay is a student earning her Master’s degree at Portland State University in Book Publishing. She works with literary agent Laura Bradford and helps plan and market events for Willamette Writers, an Oregon resource. She’s a bookseller at Powell’s City of Books, and thinks it’s like working at her personal version of Disneyland. She writes young adult fantasy and is currently editing her first novel. She hopes to write fantasy similar to Kristen Ciccarelli, Sarah J Maas, and Mindee Arnett, whose works have heavily influenced her. When she’s not reading or writing, she freelances and helps authors make their books the best they can be. She loves all types of books, but has a special place in her heart for fantasy and incredible prose.
